The crochet and knitting craft although have risen to prominence recently, are not so new to Pondicherry, as it formed the leisure time hobby of many a woman at home who had their training in schools and convents. Many varieties all embellished with embroidered designs in various styles of stitches are made. A wide variety of lamp shades, purses, cap, mini bags, knitting shoes, etc are the widely popular work made out of this craft. Designs received from the European countries are made out of this craft and exported.

The Cost of the items will be as per the size and model and ranges from Rs.30/- to Rs.5,000/-
